Looking for advice please in domestic wiring in an outbuilding.....

An outbuilding connected to the back of a friends house has been converted into a little aviary and has one double socket already in there (spurred from the house RFC, CU has RCD). He would like 2 double sockets and a flourescent light fitting so has asked me to do it. Does this sound the right way to do it?

1. Change existing double socket to 13a FCU and then run 2 double sockets from this.
2. Take another feed from supply side of 13a FCU to 3a switched FCU and then to light fitting, using the switched FCU as the light switch?

Sorry if this seems basic but I dont normally work on domestic.

Thanks for you help
Pete

sounds a good plan. only other option , IMO, is if the feed is 2.5mm and you want a little extra power on the sockets, you could fit an enclosure containing a 20A MCB in place of the 13A FCU.

Thank you for all replies,

Just re-read my first post and think I got part 2 wrong, the 3a FCU must be fed from the load side of 13a FCU.

Cheers

no reason not to feed 3A FCU from the "live " side of the 13A FCU.
