Hi all, I'm looking to tap into all the experience out there relating to the installation of outdoor LED strip lighting. I have a customer who would like this fitted under a capping stone on a low wall that surrounds his lawn and searching the web there are obviously many companies who can supply the materials although not that many who can do a continuous length of 44 metres.

At this stage it could be LV or ELV.

Can anyone recommend a good source of supply?

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

Are you aware of the differences between LV and ELV?

44 metres is a large run, as mentioned above you will need to break it down into smaller section, as mentioned above, even If you had a large driver the voltdrop through the circuit board in the strip would cause the LED to dull.

Outside I would recommend a 24v IP68 strip, if your using RGB or RGBW then the best way is to use a DMX switch which you can feed multiple amplifiers from. Each amplifier has its own driver so you can create a long run of colour changing strip controlled from one switch.

You could go for a 220 AC led strip but it's like a lump if 6mm T&E and I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be installing it outside.
