Outdoors sockets notifiable or not

With so many part p pdf files out there in getting a bit lost
Also I think the person I was talking to about this might of found a loop hole

Basically he tapped in to the house ring to put on a outdoor RCD socket

I'm reading in electrician guide to building regs book 2012
Suggests any change in outdoor circuits is notifiable

A document I got from elecsa around 2013 I guess says in minor for outdoors

Unless its a new circuit feeding the outside socket then it's not notifiable.

An outdoor circuit us ONLY notifiable if a new circuit, or part of a rewire.

in England - Wales is different, as is NI and Scotland

April 6 2013, the scope of part P got watered down in England, Wales still uses the previous scope.
The scope in England is now

• New circuits
• Work within the zones of a bath or shower location
• Replacing a consumer unit

He didn't get around anything or find a loophole, it just doesn't require notification in England.
Usually extending from an interior ring final is the neatest and quickest way of providing an outdoor socket.
