Outside light trips circuit

I have a exterior flood light, this circuit also is connected to my kitchen lights and 2 other outside lights. All lights work fine except the flood light. Once the flood light is turned on the breaker trips, all other lights are off and it will still trip. This is an arc fault breaker if the flood light switch is in the on position the breaker won't go back on. Once you turn the flood light switch off the breaker can be put back on.

I removed the switch and everything looks good no wires touching. I have not removed the flood light yet.

Could be serial arcing in the switch, or downstream.

How much is a new light, and how much hassle to install?

I guess I have to climb up there. This is a new house, the electrician won't come back. Hopefully the light is bad or some wires are touching. I plan on disconnecting a wire form the light to see if it still trips.

brand new build should have a warranty of sorts, a snagging list.

I see it’s in America, so UK new build NHBC will not apply.

How much is a new light, and how much hassle to install?

No gfci on this circuit, $30 for a new light, prob not to hard its 23ft up. My telescoping ladder is tall enough.

. I don't remember the light ever working. My wife said it did she turned it on for 5 minutes once and said its super bright. That could be it.

It's a brand new, trust me the contractor or electrician aren't coming back. They had a falling out and this is on me to repair.

It sounds to me like you have a flood light taking on water
