Oven won't switch back on

Ok, so basically I turned the oven off at the wall when we went away for our honeymoon, came back yesterday switched it back on and now have no power at all. I've checked fuse box and the plug attached to the switch works, but other than that I don't know what else I can do before calling out an electrician and how much it will cost

many ovens with a digital clock wont work until you have set the clock and pressed the button with a hand symbol on it.
