Possibly the best tool in my tool kit! Batavia screwdriver.

I lost my electric screwdriver for the day. I had to undo many, many socket screws by hand or with a big clunky drill and it made me realise how much I rely on the electric screwdriver.

There are many larger electric screwdrivers that all have some kind of extra gimmick. I just wanted one that simply went clockwise or anticlockwise by pushing a button AND was vaguely like a screwdriver in size and shape.

I realise the Wiha electric screwdriver would be even better, but this one does exactly what i need it to do (it saves so much time) and is £25 rather than £250!
lastly, it takes around 20 mins to charge and seems to last for weeks. It has an integral battery, and a (reliable) micro usb charging point.

I have one of them too! One of the best tools I ever bought, my daughter calls it a sonic screwdriver! Brilliant bit of kit!!

Ahem! I may have two as well, I agree I have a spare of the tools I favour the most! It's a bad habit, I have had for many Years, my house and workshop are getting rather full?

I use one of these as I do a lot of work in 19" racks with lots of cage nuts, it does up to 6NM which is ideal.

Still handy for many things but I do use my batavia with nut runners too!
It's amazing how far things have come even since I was an apprentice 20 odd years ago. My first drill was black and Decker, took 14 hours to charge and would last 1 at the most, now my 6ah Milwaukee will last at least a couple of days without a drop in power!!

I got a similarhonehto thath but it's ryobi. great for running up 3.5mm socket screws and CU terminals before final tighten to right wrist calibrated torque.

easy peasy. just tap around lid with handle of a table knife, then unscrew lid which is now loose.

I always found when I think I need a 3.6 I need a 12v screwdriver

And if I think I'll do with a 12v I end up picking up the 18v instead

And if I think I'll do with a 12v I end up picking up the 18v instead

They have very little power, but that's the whole idea. Something small and lightweight that takes out a socket screw. It's not up to screwing stuff into concrete or wood

Just bought 2 of these from Amazon.
Nice tool, but had to buy separate flat bits.
Only gripe is you can't switch off the buttons. As a result, I keep pressing the button by accident when I'm not ready, which is really annoying.
Guess I'll get used to it.

I've got a Bosch electric screwdriver... and whilst it doesn't come to play that often, it's very very handy for plate screws in awkward places and/or where you're trying to get a screw to catch on the threads ! Saved me alot of time and endless amounts of swearing !
