Discuss Proxy server in China in the Computer and Networking Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

It was actually very simple to sort out in the end as I was able to connect to our office server and use that as a VPN. You live and learn lol.

Rather you than me, being and working in Beijing at that time of year!! Hope you brought some warm clothing with you, or better still go out and buy the stuff in Beijing at a fraction of the price you'd expect to pay in the UK!!

I am using a VPN, it uses my home (Cyprus) broadband, never had any problems yet, it's just that connections to websites can get to be a bit slow...

I must have completely missed this thread at the time!!

Your solution is very similar to what i'm using, only difference is i'm using a company VPN to link to my account in Cyprus. Never had any major problems, sometimes can get a bit slow if you have too many sites open at the same time.... I'm told there are better solutions, but while my present system is working, i'll stick with what i know and familiar with... lol!!

Just found this helpful and effective VPN from SunVPN. I have been browsing the internet looking for effective tool to use in China so that I can still access websites in US.
