Discuss Removal of old bathroom circuit. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Customer lives in a housing association property and needs an old shower pump removed. The HA have asked for certification. Presuming a MW will do the trick without notification ?
should be OK. as long as it's dissed from supply.no leave live cable lying about.

it's just a bit of paper to tick their silly boxes to say it's been done.

If they just had handyman bob in to do it, he might have disconnected the pump, taped up the cable end and left it under the bath.

By requiring certification, they have a paper trail to reduce there liability if it was ever to be deemed the cause of an accident.
