Hello.

I want to replace an 82mm x 82mm wall light switch, but have read that the ampage is important when choosing a replacement. On the old switch it says: BS3676. 250V. 10 AX. Volex 1000 series. Can you advise?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum mate.
Most light switches are 10A rated. Most light circuits are protected by a 6A breaker.
You should be ok with a standard light switch.
Is there anything out of the ordinary with your original lighting?
Are you just switching a standard light?
