Afternoon.
I've recently had a ring main fault where a leg from socket to socket has gone down to earth. All sockets off, continuity testing between each leg and core and found the culprit. Was tripping RCD when turning ring on (kitchen)

Anyway, I havent got the option to put a new leg in, so my suggestion would be, split the ring to 2 radials? There would be 3 sockets on 1 radial, 2 on another.

Any other suggestions? :)

No other suggestions.
2 x 20A radial circuits. Just take care how much load is on each.

How tricky is the leg to either repair or replace? Do you know what caused the problem?
The void behind kitchen units can hide a whole lot of canned worms
