Running outside lighting cables in render

Hello,
I'm looking to extend my lighting circuit outside of my house before I have the house re-rendered. some of the wiring routes will need to go up and over windows etc so some of the cable routes will be outside the permitted cable zones. I was planning to chase t/e into the wall and to protect the cable with the galvanised steel channel in the places where the cable is outside the zones. my question is, is an acceptable method of protection? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

bad practice. better to run as much as possible internally and surface clip outside cables H07RN is best for outside. not T/E..

Just thinking out of the box. What about running the cable within 150mm of soffit and drop down to light? May be not possible if it is a double story wall but if it is a single story wall, maybe that could work? Personally not done this way and would rather run inside and come out to light. But if customers don't want internal work, maybe the way I stated could be possible?
Don't use t&e outside like tel has said.

Thanks for the comments. Running cables inside is not possible as all the interior is finished to a high standard and I cant see a neat way of getting the cables routed. Unfortunately I cant go up to the soffits as it is a double storey property. Does the 150mm rule apply to around window surrounds?

Thanks for the advice, I did as you suggested and finally found what I was looking for.
Thanks to everyone else for their suggestions and comments as well - its all sorted now by managing to run the wires inside and redecorating.
