Possibly a result of connecting it across two circuit breakers having failed to carry out initial verification before putting the installation into service. That would seem like the most likely explanation, although socket testers aren't necessarily hugely accurate but rather indicative.I have a socket in a house showing up as live on both ring 1 and ring 2 ? powered up the house today and used a socket tester and it was flashing on both rings when I isolated each one on their individual MCB’s ? does anyone know what this could be ?
The continuity was ok on ring 1 but not showing on the lives on ring 2 ? it’s very confusing . So I think the connection was okPossibly a result of connecting it across two circuit breakers having failed to carry out initial verification before putting the installation into service. It looks like the two ring circuits are crossed with one another, and the person who installed the rings did not verify ring continuity.I have a socket in a house showing up as live on both ring 1 and ring 2 ? powered up the house today and used a socket tester and it was flashing on both rings when I isolated each one on their individual MCB’s ? does anyone know what this could be ?
if they don't take care they might even bring me back up from dead.Is this a new years resolution to see how many old threads can be resurrected?
