Hi guys,

Had Baxi round to do a service, and immediately after the central heating wasn’t turning on (hot water is fine).

Had them back out and they said the boiler is fine, it must be a faulty thermostat. Replaced the thermostat today, and still nothing.

When I connect the live and call wires in the thermostat, the boiler fires up and central heating goes on. However wired into thermostat (Drayton RTS1), I get nothing - not even a light on the thermostat.

Any idea what the cause might be here?

Thanks!

I suspect that the neutral to the thermostat has been disconnected.
Check you have 230v between live and N at the thermostat

I’ve just tested between live and neutral and it just zero?

Presumably it’s possible that said boiler service electrician disconnected the neutral?

Not sure what else could have stopped it working immediately afterwards?

That seems to confirm it, you have probably still got 230v on the live but no neutral
I would call the service guy Back and tell him to fix what he has broken.
