I was looking a wera interchangeable screwdriver set and thought it seems a good idea.

whats the general consensus on these types of things? Useful? Are they durable?

I think they are a very good 'idea' but the right one has not been made yet. Both Wera and Wiha are known as very good makes but after reading the reviews from the following link (http://www.screwfix.com/p/wiha-vde-...odua8DYQ#product_additional_details_container), I'm talking about the last review by the electrician, I don't think I would buy it, at least not for use as my main screwdrivers which I rely on.

I expect the Wera are stronger due to the fact they slot into the handle but then you have lost the compactness of the Wiha set and it looks almost as large as having individual screwdrivers.

So my thoughts would be to stick with having individual ones, saying that why not just treat yourself and find out for yourself!

I have the Wera set, And to be honest It didn't really earn its keep with me. I thought It might come in handy when connecting lights, up ladders etc so instead of having a load of separate drivers just attach the pouch to my belt and away we go, Unfortunately it just didn't really get used, I just stuck with my individual drivers. And as has been said, If a blade breaks or you lose an attachment they aren't cheap to buy.

I'm with a few others - good organisation of your tool kit and you'll know which driver is which. Think these interchangeable thingymajigs would have me frustrated after having to change the end a few times. Even my torque driver, I tend to just leave the plus-minus in as that's what gets used 95% of the time.

Only time these interchangeable would be useful is for the travelling (public transport) spark I reckon, but each to their own eh.

Got three sets plus torque set, but then again I am the biggest tool tart in the British Isles, I didn't pay for them by the way

Appreciate all the advice guys. I think I'm going to grab a permanent marker and try labelling the ends of my drivers first and see if that helps. Tbh my drivers are pretty cheap and the tips are starting to deform so maybe I should just buy some quality drivers that are already marked in some way

Draper do a good interchangeable set, I gave that set to a mate, to many sets already, and before anyone asks, I aint giving them away, or selling them they are Mine no one elses, might no use them all in anger, but they are staying put in my tool case.
Every now and then when I get depressed I go and have a look at all my nice shiny tool, yes it's sad, but as I said previously, tool tart no 1
