Lenny he told us power factor.

I know.

What we dont know is wether this is true power factor or if it is a corrected power factor and if so how it is corrected.

This may all be hypothetical.

Not really no. I think I'm just over-complicating matters in this example..

ok figured out how he got 4amp he used the I= P/ V x PF formula which is wrong for a 400 supply.

I think we have scared him off anyway

I read the headline question broken earth wire for rod and without going through the whole thread I jumped to the last page,to be reading answers to power factor and calculations for it and wondered how they were relevant
