I not sure if others have noticed but I have noticed that over the last few months in my local area Essex that voltages have been dropping to become more in line with 230v.

I know harmonization occurred a good few years ago, but I was always seeing voltage or 240 to 245 until very recently I noticed an overall drop on all jobs I do.

Has anyone else noticed this.

i blame eon and the frogs. when the voltage has been dropped to the point where nothing will work, napoleon will invade.

Hi Sky, it is 235v around Hampshire.

Just checked mine and it peaked at 253v bobbed down to 251v, used to be 242v or thereabouts, better get to Ikea and get a supply of lamps, eeek

It would take a couple of minutes per transformer if the voltage were altered at the 33/11KV level.
I lowered our works 440V plant supplies to 400V. It lasted for about ½ a shift before I put it back. Every man and his dog was moaning at me.

Less likelyhood of a sudden demand in the Summer so the voltage can be lower.
Quite likely a lot of work is being done on the H.V network so there may be a strain on what's left live.

I'm only guessing tho'

Running smooth at 248V here...

Mine's about 240v here but my neighbour, Optimus Prime, is at a constant 12v.
