want to know abt alarm installation

hi, i am soon having a interview for alarm company. it will be written as well as practical test. i have completed my bachelors degree in electronics eng. have very little practical experience. help me as my interview is in next week.. i m learning all the basic electronics but how can i cope the practical thingi. do anyone knows abt the 1 day cheap practical courses in london.??

Elaborate .... are you going to be installing, designing, CAD electronics etc ..... Alarm company could mean anything and cover a wide range of job titles, if as i suspect you mean fire or intruder alarm installer then you bachelor degree will hold little ground as it wont come into use really, an electrical with on-site experience would give better background i my assumption is correct.

I would put your bachelor degree on a par to a chef getting a michelin recognision and going for a job as a burger flipper in MacDonalds.

can only wish you good luck then... seems a waste of a degree but needs must i assume .. to be honest it depends what the company are looking for, and best advice is be honest is to express your keeness to get hands on and a willing to learn attitude thrown in for good effect, dont approach it with a ' cant get what job i wanted attitude' or it will be a long wait on the job queue.... anyway goodluck.
