Need to re-wire for a new kitchen. The old ring fine so im going to extend it for the new kitcken and relocate sockets etc. The new hob will be gas so im going to use the old 6mm to feed the new over/grill combo. So basically the ring will power the new sockets (integ fridge, washinng machine, kettle etc)

Also installing some downlights and removing the ceiling rose.

So as im only extending the ring and adding new sockets along with new lights would i issue a minor works for both circuits? Ring, Lights and 6mm oven raidel? (3 in total)

Many Thanks for your help

I know a spark who did the exact same work as this in a kitchen. extended ring, cooker and lighting and he issued a EIC and ticked the box "Addition" On the NIC Cert.
It all went through ok and the customer has the cert for the lot.

I suppose in this case either is possible. am i right?

Yes, no reason why not.

For that amount of work, i would have probably issued an EIC, especially as RCD's may have been added or the CU altered.

C.U has a main RCD that protects the whole lot. An old type board not ideal as all circuits are on one rcd but least the circuits are protected.
