Hi there I’ve only seen inverters for solar energy or camper vans …I’m looking for information
On buying an inverter using a water power wheel using an alternator. A lot of the videos don’t give the precise instructions needed.
Also a question about getting power from an inverter 220v to about 50 meters away from the stream is that possible.
Sorry if the question is duplicated but I can’t find the answers

The biggest thing that you need to know is the height of the "head" for turning the generator.
The generator must be constant in its revolutions. Does his generator have voltage regulation?
You do not mention what voltage you have available or what flavor, AC, DC.
You can get 240v AC as far away as you want if you use large enough cable.

Thank you for your reply. It’s for a friend so far I have made the water wheel with a bicycle wheel attached to waterwheel driving the alternator to supply power. The water power driving the wheel won’t be an issue it’s more the electrics and the fact the house is maybe 40 metres away. He’s trying to do it as cheap as possible but will gladly buy any hardware that is needed. Thank you

A water wheel/paddle wheel will be the least efficient method of production. Maybe even single digits. I will bow out now that you have declined to answer the most important question. The amount of head or the amount of all. This is how water produces the power for making electricity.
