Hi guys

I have had an absolute ***full. I am and Aerial/Satellite engineer and made a conscientious decision last year to train to be an electrician. Decided to go down the proper route, not the T4T way, so planned to do the C & G 2330 to begin with. However, this qual was pulled this year so when I went to the local college they told me to do the dom elec course they were running that inlcuded 17th edition and inspection and testing 2392. Had a call today and the college told me that they were no longer running the course. GREAT STUFF  all the other local colleges are now full so that ******* me off no end. Anyway thanks for listening to the rant but my question is; Is there any point me doing a BTEC Advanced dipoma in Electrical Installation from home this year and then doing the regs and testing next year. Being nearly 30 I need to do something to get my feet wet ASAP. Thanks for your replies in advance.

You could also wait until next year when the 2330 is being replaced by the 2357.
Pretty sure most colleges should be making that course available.
