Wiha torque screwdriver - views.

anyone use the Wiha torque screwdriver; if so, thoughts/views. Is there a better equivalent?

Torque screwdrivers have their place in achieving consistency in mission critical systems where many technicians and engineers are involved in their construction and maintenance. But to try and apply this to domestic electrical installations is doomed to failure, because your customers are not going to pay for the regular periodic maintenance and checking of terminations that a mission critical system demands.

Santa is delivering a set to me for xmas, whilst I think it is a load of crap torqueing up RCD /MCB,s etc, if there is every a fire in an installation and the insurance company is looking for a way to not pay out, then you will need to be in a position to show that you complied with BS 7671/ Manufacturers torque recommendations at the very least.
