hi
i'm doing the wiring for a s plan system with the boiler being a worcestor bosch combi, Problem is i can't see a switch live on the boiler to feed the honeywell junction box terminal 8 to the m/valves. The instructions show only a switch live which is used for a room stat which has a link in. do i use that? done s plans before but not using a combi as the boiler. has anyone got any wiring diagrams please?

Yes, you can use the roomstat terminals to supply the wiring centre. Terminals 3, 4 & 5 or Ls, Lr & n.

Just check the current rating of these terminals to make sure they're happy with the loading.

Also check the boiler instructions, as it may need to control the pump directly

Alternatively you could supply the boiler via the wiring centre if there is a spur in the airing cupboard or wherever the valves etc are.

Are there multiple heating zones on this install as HW is on demand from a combi???

hi
thanks for the reply, its only 2 2 port valves one for hot water and one for heating. is the wiring set up the same as all s plan even if its a combi boiler? i,ve gone from the fuse spur to the wiring center, then from boiler i,ve used 4 core L N permanent from the wiring center then the one left should be the switch feed to terminal 10 which is to motor/valves orange. its just where in the boiler do i connect this. looked in the instructions and the switch feed which is marked for a room stat has a link in as my room stat is wired from the wiring center.

Bit confused by your set up now TBH.

Is there a water storage cylinder there???

HW derived from a combi is supplied on demand I.e when you open a tap the boiler fires & heats the water.

yes sorry forgot to put down hot water cylinder and tank stat

And it's definitely a combi??? cant understand that at all.

The plumber must have had to mess about with the pipework a bit then + the additional cost. very strange.

As far as connecting up goes, the call signal from the wiring centre (valve orange cores) connects to either terminal 4 or Lr whichever is there, with the link removed.

yes your right with the pipe work its because it has 4 on suites and 1 bathroom. the combi will feed 2 of them from boiler the other 3 will come from hot water cylinder gravity feed. thanks for help i,ll have a look tomorrow and see what i can do.
