It's only ring final circuits where you can't realistically use the alternative method of carrying out the test which removes the RCD from the test circuit.

As an aside, do you have the same problem as I seem to have when typing a reply, with key stokes not being recognised, or was that just a finger problem? Can't cut & paste or insert smiley faces either.terrible readins on no

nothing wrong with no trip testing so theres no need to dismantle a fuseboard. The reading are not majorly different.
