    Earthing conductor also bonding the water...is this allowed?...

    The EC appears to be clamped to the water pipe just before going outside to the spike. Was this ever standard? Its a TT with Ze of 36 ohms. Is it best practice to run a separate EC and water bod to MET. (no gas in house).

    Electric Consumer Unit allowed in Boiler cupboard?

    Hello, I have just moved into a new house, which will require a full rewire. I am looking at relocating the main electrical consumer unit into the boiler room which houses the gas combi boiler. Can anyone advise any regulations that would resrict this? Thanks, Callum

    Pricing up a job in a factory and have to wire in a 3 phase supply, just going to double check my cable sizing i calculate i need to use a 10m cable Swa cable clipped direct on its own , 35m run feeding a unit needing a 3 phase 20amp supply am i right ? just seems a little on the heavy side ?

    Regs guide typo or not? - what is allowed disconection?!

    For disconection times we have to hit 0.4 for up to 230v U0. 0.2 for 400-1000U0. I always took this to mean what it says. both single and 3 phase V to earth is 230, so we use the 0.4 disconection. Taking my 17th update and got told that was a typo!!!! So for 3 phase we are supposed to use...
