I'm re-wiring a house which is being renovated and the customer has no idea yet what the rating of the oven & induction hob (both electric) will be but want cables run so they can board & plaster the ceiling (concrete floors) so I'm planning on running a 10mm radial to the wall the switch & CCU will be on.
Now if for instance the oven is 3kw & the hob is 7kw how will I divide the radial up?
Something like 2 spurs from the CCU one via an FCU for the oven and one just fused at the CU for the hob?

10mm to CCU, then a dual outlet box . 6mm for hob, 6mm for oven. unless oven comes with a plug on. then you're going to have to fit a single socket.

That's simple enough, couldn't get my head round it for some reason :embarrasssedsmileythatIcan'tfind:
I suppose I just fuse at the CU for the 6mm in that case, or the manufacturers inst. of course.

10mm supply and wait until oven arrives before deciding on MCB. If you install a single socket for behind the cupboard next to the oven, then it is there if needed for hob. If it's not needed, then so be it. :)

Screw it, just chuck some 16mm in the be sure, you'll just have to trim the ends so they fit...

I won't mention No8 screws jammed in just to bulk out the connection a bit then...
