heres a question sorry if it sounds silly but if you dont ask....
ive come across a 16th ed rewire aprox 2004,if i change the c/u and fit a new 17th ed one ie main switch with 2 rcd switches putting the upstairs lights on one rcd and the downstairs on the the other.would that be enough to bring it up to current regulations?bathroom fan and light are both 12v.
 
What about the other circuits?

Ideally, up lights and down sockets on, down lights and up sockets on the other, witht the rest of circuits split between the two.

So, in other words, fine!
