2391 before completing my NVQ L3?

Hiya fella's,

I have almost completed my NVQ L3 (with the final 10% completed via employment) and I have been working as a sparks mate for the last 3 months on-site. I have so far gained experience in emergency lighting, most containment, installing industrial safe isolation boards (with them 300mm armoured big boy cables) and currently working on the conversion of a sports hall into an office......1st, 2nd fix, containment, testing, the works. Things are going mint but I fancy doing the 2391 inspection and testing qualification.

Does anyone know, or have an opinion, about the completing the 2391 before finishing my NVQ?

Any advice will be greatly received, cheers.

If your going to do it at some point anyway, why wait? It’s pretty easy going the 2391 if your swept up with it all.

Also you sound a tad busy, so finding the time may be an issue perhaps?

Nope, I did mine before completing the NVQ3. Go for it.

go for it. nothing wrong with gaining quals and like said earlier do it while it is all still fresh.
