25mm back box - Schneider Ultimate Slim Range

I got into a discussion with a friend - he came around to see what I had fitted. I fitted a mix of sockets - BG and MK (different up and downstairs) - he wants to replace his existing sockets with Schneider Ultimate Slim White Range - I think he has standard 25mm boxes.

I said he couldn't use those as they are too slim profile. Have I told my friend something incorrect?

Seems it does fit 25mm according to their website but would be much easier with 35.

I used these last week . YOu can get 2 x 2.5's inside but its a bit of messing around

Screwfix might, but some of the reviewers don't.
I used these on one of my properties, and I don't recall them being noticeably deeper than most other sockets, but any socket is tight in a 25mm box, unless it just has a single 2.5mm2 T&E coming into it.

They don't look great and are for sure a complete hack but when you're fighting 3 x 2.5's in a single socket with a 25mm box at 9pm on a Friday night, and you want to get home, then 3 neatly arranged 5 way wagos, a spacer, and fly leads to the socket can be done in 5 minutes.....

Or 4 if someone has extended the ring and 2 are connected together in the back!

I used to fit a lot of the Schneider Ultimate flat plate stuff. Unlike most flat plate, they fit quite well with 25mm back boxes.
