I'm looking to install a traditional coffee machine which has total power 3300w and the wiring supplied with it is brown L1, black L2, grey L3 & Neutal with earth.
How would this need to wired to operate on a single phase 16Amp supply?

Has the manufacturer supplied any installation instructions or wiring diagrams?

You will need the wiring diagram for different phase connections. If you do the single phase then the elements will be heated in series by the single phase meaning the machine will take a lot longer to heat than on each phase to one element. But contact the manufacturer they will certainly have the wiring diagrams and there should be indication and or jumpers at the connection point.
