Hi all! Hope everyone is well! Does anyone have any tips or pointers for the AM2 exam? I have my exam in a months time and am very nervous!
Make sure your intermediate and 2 way lighting circuit has a neutral as well as earth in every back box, when you do safe isolation put your lock key in your pocket, do not panic over time and make sure you use the cable type and spec on install that is on the instruction.

The best tip I can give is to follow exactly what it says on the sheet. They will basically tell you what to do. Don't over complicate it in your head, although it is easy done. Just be calm take your time and make sure you have done exactly what they say. Use all of the time available and go over it and make sure your happy with it.

I am a maintenance electrician apprentice for the NHS and my experience with install and testing isn't as much as usual apprentices, which is why I am even more nervous!

Don't be distracted by anyone while you are locking off and that key is yours and only yours until you complete the task if someone asks for it do not be tempted to pass it to them whatever story they use as previously mentioned it should be in your pocket and not left in the tool box or on the bench
And good luck
