I have been asked if a tumble dryer and a washing machine can be put in a shower room. I replied with "No" because the 2m x 1.8m and a 1200mm x 760mm shower tray. I have however come across immersion tanks and isolators in airing cupboards in bathrooms and believe these to be ok if the door has a lock or special tool to open it. Is there any way at all these appliaces can be put in a cupboard in the shower room?
Any help much appreciated
Cheers

questions would have to be asked as has the cupboard got space for airing otherwise a fan would have to be installed but to my knowledge and i could be mistaken you can as long s as you say it is in a lockable cupboard but on the whole if a customer asked me i would say that it is not possible but as i say i could be mis taken

I think the regs state that fixed partitions may be taken into account where these effectively limit the extent of locations containing bath or shower, but probably safest to connect via FCU and rcd.I don't think you need to fit a lock, but I would agree with the previous posters requirements for suitable ventilation
