Do the gas and water need to be bonded when you installl a new circuit? An example is a customer asked me to install a new rcd unit for a shower, do the bonds have to be installed to certify correctly?

Absolutly yes!

You may be thinking of supplementary bonding which may be ommited if certain conditions are met.

Yes if the pipe work to/from the meter/stopcock is matalic (copper) No if the pipework to/from the meter/stopcock is plastic.

All new circuits must comply with 17th Ed and this incudes main bonding.
