ant advice

Hi Beaver. I have wired a few of these in. RCD fused spur off ring or a radial run back to board. personally I would get a specialist floor company to put the matt and floor down with integral probe stat and just do the wireing.

Under floor heating doesn't run off a stat as such - they're energy controllers similar to the simmerstats fitted to electric ovens. In other words, they turn the heating elements on and off in pulses. These controllers need to installed OUTSIDE the bathroom off an RCD fused spur if an RCD isn't installed in the CU. The probe acts like an overheat cut-off device and should be installed close to the centre of the room being heated.
Make sure that the element is fitted on top of 5/8" ply-wood and covered with a proper surface such as ceramic tiles. Laminated floors are no use.

yeh, underfloor heating in a bathroom is a special location therefore rcd protection needed (as with most ccts) timeclock/controller must be out of bathroom, floor sensor in bathroom floor should be ok, regards dave
