I've just been followed on twitter by BAPAT which I've never heard of before, has anyone else heard of it? It's totally new to me and I wonder if it is genuine or another fake 'official' PAT Testing group.

Why, how can they regulate an 'industry' whereby an unskilled guy can be made redundant one day, buy a Megger 'business in a box' for £570 the next day and be a 'Portable Appliance Testing Engineer' by day 3?

He can take the C&G 2377 too, an exam that has a failure rate of approximately 0% and then be classed as competent in his chosen field.

We think we've got problems in the electrical installation/periodic inspection business....
