I got a similar pair to them but a bit longer, way too cumbersome for everyday stripping but perfect for neatly cutting the bigger stuff

i've got the ones with the pin cutters but not the stripping notches.

they will, but you have to put a bit more effort in. chomp too tight and you cut into the strands.

or these?

All good so far then LOL
Anyone tried stripping 4mm with the notches? Just wondered if the 2.5mm notches would strip the 4mm.

get the ones without the stripping holes. why would you need them anyway for stripping 1.5 or 2.5?

they do make it a lot quicker cutting pins than using junior and pair of grips, i prefer my wiha side cutters though, got a set for a bargain the other day.

the slimline set with mcb driver and snips (180mm ish) for £33 inc vat

Its not a case of need, its a case of ease.
I use my cable loppers because if I clamp a cable in they jaws gently a 90 degree twist of the wrist and the insulation flys off with no effort at all.
The notches would give the same effect as you could clamp down (but without fear of cutting the cores) twist and pull.
Saves all the gripping and twisting buggering about with side cutters.
But the reason I asked was I rarely work with 2.5mm cable.
Its nearly always 1.5 or 4mm for RFC's. Then bigger conductors for bigger circuits.

These are the dogs bollox.

I absolutely love them. Been using them since day one. I use them for everything. Use my proper croppers for 25mm+, but use these for EVERY cable below 25mm

I highly recommend them

I think they're good so long as you get used to chopping cable at the end of the cutters rather than where the stripping part is. But ye they're loads easier and quicker to strip lots of cables than the conventional way.....plus I won an extra pair off c.k on this very forum for doing a questionnaire, not used them yet and had the first pair for about 3 years maybe so they last, as long as you look after them.
