Hello all.
Doing a favour for a mate. He wants an "industrial" look his new wiring. He wants metal conduit and chunky surface fittings on bare brick walls.
I can't remember the last time that I installed metal conduit.
I haven't got a bender and no taps and die's.
He doesn't mind if it all goes at right angles from box to box.
Is there an easier way or product that I can use without threading everything?
I would appreciate any ideas or advice on this.
As it is a favour, I would like to get it done as quicky as is possible.

Many thanks in advance.

Gerry

which planet is your mate from? if he insists, you can get push fit boxes for galv. conduit.

They used to do a "knock on" couplers and box for conduits. i have used them in the past
I used them where they cut a lift in through a concrete floor and cut through around 6 conduits which were the earthing for the circuits

Ask your supplier or try google

Use plastic and spray it may be an option, not aware of any but it would not surprise me if you can actually but it in a silver finish

Gerry, advertise for an experienced conduit fitter and you do the wiring.
You (and the customer) will get a good job done & you can look & learn. Win all round!

Will the conduit be the earth though? he may need it threaded and done properly, time to buy a bender and some stocks and dies.

Serious note...
There was a thread free, totally earth continuous, push fit, secured with grub screws, metal conduit system mentioned on here once.
Haven't a clue where though.

The push fit and grub screw and also the knock on fixtures all comply
I love working with/on conduit when price/client allows (it is like MICC a skill needed to be learnt)
