DATA.. new phone points, loosing broadband?

On a new rewire I have installed 3 slave phone points around the house..

The main incoming phone point works fine, making and receiving phone calls. If I want to use the broadband router I have to plug a filter into the main phone point then the router into the filter.. Works fine

If I want to plug the phone in as well I have to plug this into the router, if I plug the phone into the filter I loose the broadband completely.

Also as soon as I connect any of the slave phone points up in the house I loose the broadband.

Anyone have any advice on this?

This is no different to how I've done it many many times in the past, all slave points work fine if there's only a phone plugged in, they just kill the broadband completely when the router is connected

Hactual answer is, if you have telephones on a broadband line..... Each telephone must also have the dongle or whenever you use the line the broadband will drop out.

Had BT out to us in work with a similar problem today it turned out that whist you could use the line to make phone calls OK but when the broadband was connected to the same line on its own the connect would keep dropping out, turned out that the was noise on the line which a telephone would not pick up but the broadband connection did.

Luckily there was a redundant ISDN line which was found to be OK back to the exchange swopped over to this line and it was all OK after that
