ELECSA Certification Scheme Design calculations and elecsa assemssment

Hi All,

I have my Elecsa assessment tomorow at 9am and was just looking through the requirements and it mentions about Design record keeping in the guide to conformances.

Will the inspector need to see design calculations for my install and what is the best way of presenting this.

Any help pointers links or examples would be very much appreciated as I am kacking myself.

Very much doubt it, I had my 4th assessment a couple of weeks ago, they spend an hour or so going through all your paperwork (insurance, certificates of education etc) checking you have the regs, on site guide.
then they look at the cert for the job you are showing them, have a look at the install (whatever you have done) ask you some questions maybe on testing, maybe on bonding requirments etc etc.
They then go over all the latest changes to the regulations, a lot of filling in of the assessment forms and have a chat with you.
They ask you if you have any queries on regs or anything else etc etc.
They are there to make sure you are carrying out electrical works correctly but I dont think they deliberately try to trip you up, we all have different opinions on certain things,I was under the impression that we were all supposed to use the new JB's if not screwed down (behind downlighters), he had never heard of such a thing and I am still convinced I am right.
Dont upset him and let him lead the way
