Hi all

I have an investment property (1 bed, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield) which I need an EICR for.

But there is a very corroded looking section. Forgive my naivety, but I'm assuming this is connected the electrical board. Is that the case (see pic)? The board is in the kitchen which is a cellar kitchen.

I'm guessing I should get this fixed before booking the EICR (please feel free to quote if available!) Is this relating to the supply cable? If so, do I ring 105 as I'm also concerned about any possible danger. God knows how I didn't notice this before buying the property!

Thank you

Or to help with a better photo!
In the meanwhile you could always remove those combustible materials prior to a visit from the DNO?
Taking that it looks like it has a bs951 bonding strap on it - it looks to be a metal conduit leading to the cutout.

Question to the forum massive - Is that one of the shared feeds to the cutout and then going to another property? Haven’t seen one before but know they exist.

Thanks everyone, some great (and friendly) info on here. I'll call DNO first (hopefully for some peace of mind) then book the EICR. Do any of you have a recommendations that cover the Huddersfield area?

Thanks again!
