hi, I have a Mira sport 10.8 kW shower, it has an 0ttermill 60 amp type D circuit breaker which is not breaking the circuit when I push the yellow push to test button, it needs to be replaced before I can use the shower.
What would be a suitable replacement circuit breaker compatible with the shower.
Regards
Ron

To be honest, what you have existing is poorly fitted, possibly not earthed correctly and is not something that can be directly replaced.
You should get a local electrician to quote.

This looks like a voltage operated earth leakage circuit breaker, now obsolete, Unless there is some other circuit breaker installed after it, then it is not going to trip on overcurrent, and so there is no suitable overcurrent protection for the shower circuit, in fact a fault might blow your house service fuse. As mentioned, it is also poorly installed and you need an electrician to quote.

An older version of the problem I seem to encounter on a monthly basis.

Given the apparent lack of earth, combined with no short circuit or over current protection, I'd contend that luck has been the sole factor keeping anyone using the attached shower alive. It never ceases to amaze me how many such devices (and also later RCDs) have been fitted in this manner by people who couldn't interpret very simple information.
