Hi everyone, came across these old Electrical Engineering exam papers. Thought they may be of interest to somebody. Honestly how many can you get correct? They are incredibly difficult. Enjoy

I find it interesting that in 1929 the electrical engineering questions come with metric measurements, then in 1934 the engineering questions come in imperial units.

I'd never heard of a Maxwell unit, and now I've googled it I know why.

Ah, the joys of CGS units complete with the delightful statamps and the like. I grew up and learned with SI units, but when the going was too slack one of my physics teachers would thrust CGS on us and, in return, I would spice up my homework with answers in a mix of imperial, metric, nautical and ancient Roman units. Furlong-Mhos per farad was my preferred unit of velocity.

One day if I can find the time (unlikely) I'd have some fun writing a set of model answers to those Q's.

No more posts from those two for a month or so then. :D
