Amazing scenes this lunchtime in Yorkshire !!

I just had to stop the car and take a photo.

There were no optimisers or micros on the rails but plenty of dangling cables.

I wonder what the householder was quoted for. Why not fit some more to the left of the chimney?

No panels on any of the other roofs so not an e/w split.

What would the MCS certificate say? The mind boggles!

I doubt the installer would choose this particular masterpiece for his annual inspection !!

The point is that the MCS certificate only has space for one panel make and model but it seems as if two have been used in this system so really it should have two MCS certificates but then there might be complications when registering for FiTs!

Good point. I have seen this were there are two different types of panel near me on council properties.

We've got one installation with 4 MCS certificates for the different panels, all connected to the one inverter and one gen meter (solar edge )
No problems at all with Good Energy - We've done multiple MCS certificates a number of times for various reasons.

In future the installer will not be able to choose the installation. It will be chosen by the accreditation body (at last).

There is also a major audit of installations going on at the moment (hundreds of systems) by MCS to get a clearer picture of what has been happening. This is not before time and a welcome development to finally increase the effective policing of the scheme.

Why not send them the photo?
