I'm surprisingly looking forward to getting back for a bit of time with the family and friends after a year of working away. Although the 4 hour flight to Brisbane. Then the 14.5 hour flight to Dubai. Then the 7 hour flight to London. It is causing me some pain when I think about it but it will be worth it. Although I hear the weather on the south coast is pretty horrendous at the moment it's got to beat living in p***ing darwin.

My cousins live in Victoria and they say the heat is excruciating. They are having to keep putting ice cubes in the livestocks feeders as the water keeps boiling. Welcome back to drizzly Blighty! ;)

Don't forget to pop by the unemployment benefit building when you get here, even if you don't need any cash they will be happy to hand some out to you, welcome home.

They measure in the shade! In the bright glare of the sun the water doesn't actually boil, more a point of vapour! You know it's hot when you go outside to work and the sweat dissapears rapidly! We hit 44 in the shade a couple of weeks back and to say it was uncomfortable is an understatement! Maddison, get yerself sorted and get back asap! You know you loved it in Darwin with the constant humidity! lol
