Why NAPIT?
i'd send the pics to "Professional Electrician" magazine as well. they're asking for hall of shame pics.
At least it's good for something.

This really is a butchered job how can someone leave it like that I feel an urge to re do it
That would involve me flying or getting a boat if your in Essex! But change the tea to beer and it's a game changerFeel free to pop round. As much tea and biscuits as you want .

I agree generally if I see a messy consumer unit the rest of the installation tends to follow suitI have been know to do this
Imo your consumer unit neatness is the window to your work
If you can’t get a simple consumer unit looking neat then your in the wrong business or simply don’t give a sh%t
theyre ok, especially if space is tight but only for 6A / lighting ccts though.. not power. Not tried those yet. Recommended?
it's never easy to get a board with existing cables neat. that board is a bloody good effort for anyone, let alone a 19 year old.We tried a different board this week, branded 'Fusebox',I thought it was ok and my 19 year old son did this one, his first RCBO board, not quite up to old dads neatness but a good effort I think - never as easy to achieve a really tidy result when re-connecting rather than 1st time on brand new cables.

Ah yes, well that was to stop the f....ing grommet strip from constantly falling off, needed a bit of an overlap front and back to keep it in place. But apart from that, thanks mate.
