Evening.

anyone tell me a little about adding underfloor heating to a gas heating system..

at at present have 1 Chanel time clock to power gas combi burner.

what way the plumber do this ?

All the builder is saying is there will be manifold in corner.

Anyone tell me a little about it? Thx

yep.the tingy jobbie makes the whatsit work and them pipes warm the water, thus making one's toes hot while the body freezes

Typically you will have 2x two port valves, a pump at the manifold position and 2x programable room thermostats one for the UFH and the other for the rads.

As you can see from Lees drawing, there is a pump and diverter valve on the manifold.......unlike a normal radiator system, were hot water is pump around the whole system. The manifold pump, keep circulating around the under floor piping until it cools to a preset temperature. Only then is it diverted back to the boiler, so no hot water is ever returned to the boiler making it more efficient .

also makes sure the manifold is plumbed from the Flow and Return before the radiator circuit, otherwise the Rads will be on when the UFH is on, sounds obvious but I see it all the time.
