Discuss Hot water direct to solar panels in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

If you want to heat water with solar panels surely it would be best to get solar panels that heat the water directly. I have seen some panels that are electric but have water piped to them as well, seems the best of both worlds.

They said they've already got PV.

Eddi, Immersun, Solar iBoost all do immersion controllers. If thinking of an EV charger in the future then Eddi is already setup to work alongside the Zappi, etc.

Had a client in the past with an Immersun and an EV Charger (can't remember brand but it was also setup to utilise any power which would otherwise have been exported to "top up" the car battery if required). The two controllers ended up fighting each other which meant neither worked properly.
