Hi everyone, I've got an electrical ring circuit that looks somewhat like the drawing below, where the blue sockets are part of the main ring and the red socket is a spur.

I need to create a new socket, but the closest socket and the only one I have easy access to is the spur.

Is there any way for me to properly create a socket out of that wiring? I've read somewhere that you shouldn't junction a spur or create a spur of a spur for electrical sockets.

Thanks!

Yes. You cannot spur from a spur, but you can introduce a fused connection before the first spur, creating a “fused spur” in which you can have any number of points after the fuse.

Total load of all the spur points is limited to 13A of the fuse.

Does this mean you’ve found the answer to your other thread? Whether it is a ring or a radial?

This has bought to mind a quote from the late great Lucien - he once used a phrase that I really liked that cut through all of the complication of normative and informative regs.
He simply said "to be universally recognised as a compliant ring final circuit you shouldn't create a spur from a spur".
That really sums up a complicated situation nicely. As a pedantic detailer I've never liked just saying "Thou shall not" and I've never wanted to try and explain to a non-professional the circumstances under which you can.

To be clear, I'm in agreement that adding a FCU is the best option. I was just in a slightly philosophical mood...

One other thought, is the red socket a single or double?
