These are going to need neutrals arn't they?

Oh bugger, was hoping to can this job.

Unless anyone has a bright idea that I have not thought of??

Do you mean that the neons are on when the attic lights are on (so you dont forget to turn the lights off), or the neons are on when the lights are off, so you can see the switch? If its the latter, you dont need neutrals, you just connect them across the live and switchwire, when you turn the switch on, the neon goes off. Not sure what types of lamps/fittings you can use though.
 
He wants to see if he has left the lights on after he has just left the attic. This is for a very eccentric older gentleman, he has notes to himself everywhere around the house. I brought 20A neon FCUs to fit then realised I had no neutrals. i will have to rewire the switch lines with 3+e switch wire. They would work if I put a an earth into the neutral side of the switch. But this would be against the regs (using the earth as a nuetral is not allowed) and would introduce a earth leakage of 1ma per switch when they were on.
