well, iv'e just bought a set of wiha slimlines, and they come with a pretty little neon driver with wiha printed on it.

it's the nois i made when i paid. cost 24 pints!

I bought the Wera set 48 quid with 17 pieces in loads of useful screwdrivers 4 different cab keys and the slotted pozzi type for mcb,s,gonna replace the neon with a voltstick though.
 
was split between the wera and the wiha. both around same price, bit i prefer the feel of the wiha handle. the slim bits will take some getting used to though.
 
when i work out how to post pics, ill show you all my test kit--------

The water had seeped into the device and shorted out the resistor.a neon screwdriver tells you if there is a voltage realtive to your body .In theory they shouldn't work if you're up a wooden ladder with rubber shoes.

For the small amount of current required to run a neon, I suspect that the capacitive coupling between your body and the ground is sufficient.
