Hi,

Is it me or do you only have to notify if you add extra lighting/sockets into kitchen bathroom or outside or board change.

See attached link http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/br/electrical_safety.pdf

Do any of you make a living doing domestic and if so how much do you notify as opposed to minor works cert?

Make me wonder if it's worth the money joining a scheme although i suppose there's not much choice really.

Regards
Peter

You've answered your own question.

Being registered does cost money but is the "passport" for lots of jobs people need doing. One of my recent leads said they chose me because I was the only advert in a certain publication that mentioned Part "P"

well people who dont know you, like to see your governed and depends how many people know you as elecrician as word of mouth counts alot in domestic

What are some of the most common domestics jobs, outside socket, fuseboard, shower, power to the shed to name but a few. Lots of money through notifying direct to the council plus the need to do this two days minimum prior to starting the job.
